Reflection On Term 1

Term 1 has been an awesome start to the year starting with our fitness groups which are chosen by the starting letter of our name. My group are the C's and the R's. We do a fitness programme that should improve our cardiovascular but most students try to improve on their beep test result(I'm glad I improved).

The next main point this term was the beginning of year tests, the tests include,
Reading...
Spelling...
Maths...
IKAN (different maths test)...
P.A.T test.
I was pleased with most of my results I could have done better in maths though.

Tech/arts:
Tech/arts are another cool and fun add to our curriculum system.
YEAR 8 TECH/ARTS:
Art...
I.C.T (information computer technology)...
cooking...
Electronics...
YEAR 7 TECH/ARTS:
Health...
Music...
Biotechnology...
Fabrics/Soft Material...

Noho Marae was a fun camp where we also visited Te Puia and Burried Village.
We were welcomed into the marae by Mr.Ken Kennedy and 2 other female teachers, the boyz sat on seats and girls sat on the floor. Ken Kennedy spoke (he spoke in maori
until the official welcoming was over), Then our Komatua (Mr. Boyd) spoke in maori and English.

The museum trip was cool where we learn't about the baths and how they help relax and help heal enjuries such as sprains and broken bones. But the main reason for our trip was the focus of Earth Science (volcanoes and earthquakes).

That was the main highlight of TERM 1.
